D. lusitanicum

I was given seeds of this plant around January 2005. It has now become among my favorites. The plant produces viscid droplets of glistenning glue on red glands, amplyfing the color of the droplets. I found the glue on this plant to be much more prominant than that of any other sundew, the single droplets being emminantly larger. The slender leaves yielding the plethora of dew take on a linear formation. The plant produces a woody stem as it progresses in its growth. Almost nothing can equal the plants glamour.
